Senior Blaze Developer

Our client in the Financial Service industry is currently looking for a Senior Blaze Developer, in Johannesburg.Responsibilities:

Developing Code:
Understanding requirements and following code standards.
Provide Input to Business Analyst regarding the quality and accuracy of specifications in terms of development requirements.
Fix bugs with minimal return from testers.
Unit Testing:
Check code standards.
Create development test packs.
Perform unit testing according to ABIL programming standards.
Code profiling.
Commit correct code to Control Version System.
Check high level functionality before implementing to IT testing.
Communication:
Discuss with Tester about bug fixing.
Discuss with BA’s regarding specification changes.
Participate in Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions to give input and provide feedback.
Implementation:
Generate change document and implementation plan.
Generate SQL scripts for implementation.
Generate all ADBS and WAR packages for implementation.
Application support:
DevOps Application support for all systems.
Documentation:
Generate technical documentation.
Generate change review documentation.

Requirements:

Degree in Information Technology or relevant.
Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a Blaze Advisor Developer or working with Blaze Technologies.
Minimum 5 years working in a Technical position.
Essential: TOMCAT, JBOSS, Application Server, JSON, Java, Sevlet, XML, SQL, Rest services.
Technical skills: Jenkins, UML, SVN , Git, Subversion, system analysis , technical design.
Design, implement, maintain code changes, and support FICO Blaze Advisor applications.
