Senior Resident Engineer - DurbanFull job descriptionBMK Consulting Engineers (KZN) seeks to employ a Senior Resident Engineer to join their team of professionals.QUALIFYING CRITERIA :Completed BSc / BTechNo less than 10 years’ experience in a similar position within a Consulting Engineering firmTechnical knowledge of drawing and design processesPrEng / PrTechEng is advantageousProject Management experience is advantageousCivil 3D experience is advantageousKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES :Leading Engineers and Technicians responsible for design, construction, and civil engineering projects to oversee the smooth and efficient running of these projects;Ability to verify the work for accuracy, proper work methods, techniques, and compliance with applicable standards and specifications in line with BMK QMSDevelop a framework and process to manage business risks in daily operationsEncourage innovation and efficiency improvements to ensure processes are productiveManaging all project stages from inception layouts to close-out engineering designsPerform quality control checksIn-depth knowledge of civil engineering and construction specifications, standards, and codes.Deal tactfully with the public, high-level staff or other public and private agencies, contractors, private engineers, governmental officials, and employees.Provide technical advice on feasibility, cost and timeline of projectsSet milestones, communicate project status, and identify or address setbacksSubmit reports on project performance and efficiencyJob Type: Full-time
