Stellenbosch - Western CapeENVIRONMENT:THE technical expertise of an ICT Infrastructure Team Lead is sought by a fast-growing FinTech company with a footprint on the African continent. Your core role will be to plan, design, implement, and maintain the groups ICT Infrastructure. Applicants will require a suitable Degree or Diploma with 3+ years work experience in an IT Support environment with strong analytical and problem-solving skills using logical pragmatic reasoning. You will also be someone with a passion for Africa and a willingness to work in the developing world context.DUTIES:
- IT hardware - includes procurement, setup, maintenance and replacement processes.
- Networking and cabling - ensure consistent high standards throughout the group.
- Connectivity - Data, voice, telephony.
- Desktop security (including antivirus, Patch Management).
- User security awareness and training.
- Desktop support services.
- Management of in-country IT teams (currently 6 people).
- Key supplier relationships and management.
- Google Workspace administration and adoption.
- Cost Management.
- Others: Firewalls, VPN, Queueing systems, CCTV.
- A relevant Degree or Diploma.
- 3+ Years of relevant work experience in an IT Support environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using logical pragmatic reasoning.
- Attention to detail.
- A concern for order, quality and accuracy. A meticulous approach to work.
- Fast and self-learning abilities.
- Result orientation and eager to work hard and smart.
- Good communication skills.
- Willing to travel.
- Passion for Africa and willingness to work in the developing world context.
