Our client in the retail industry based in Cape Town are currently seeking the skills of an Employee Benefit Department AdministratorMain job functionThe successful candidate will be tasked with providing exceptional service from the Employee Benefits Department and processing payroll while providing HR admin supportMaintenance of the Oracle payroll and HR systemDaily payroll input to ensure employees are paid timeouslyKeeping accurate records and filing of:New engagements, terminations, promotions and transfers, caretaking and other allowances, leave balance audits, daily queries, any input affecting salariesChecking of payroll and dispatchMonth end reconciliations and paymentLiaise between HR, divisional offices, retirement fund administrators and Healthcare administrator on all and any salary related mattersEmployment confirmations as and when requiredGeneral office duties which include but are not limited to filing, answering telephones, etcQualificationsRelevant Degree requiredCriteriaMust have 2 to 3 years working experience within a payroll and benefits environment, with practical job related skills;Expertise/experience with UK Payroll would be advantageous;Must have a flair for figuresGood understanding of PAYE, UIF, SDL and other statutory knowledgeAn advantage would be to have an understanding of Sectorial Determination 9Computer literate (MS Office Suite)Knowledge of Oracle payroll and HR system an advantageA Consultant will be in touch if you are shortlisted for the position.
