Our client, a listed entity, with a strong, long-established National footprint, seeks an experienced Bookkeeper to take up this fixed term contract. You will perform all the National accounting and reporting related activities.The Person:
  • B.Com Honours in Accounting, essential.
  • SAICA Articles, a strong advantage.
  • Min. 3 years’ experience in a similar position.
  • Retail industry experience pref.
  • Proficient in SAP and MS Office.
The Job:
Report to the Divisional Accountant:
  • Invoice, data capture, raise accruals and review the general ledger mid- and month-end.
  • Prepare balance sheet recons.
  • Assist with annual financial statements/notes for Group companies.
  • Prepare VAT recons and returns timeously.
  • Complete taxation supplementary packs when/if required.
  • Complete Income Tax returns for review.
  • Produce and distribute reports to Department Heads.
  • Prepare and populate budget schedules.
  • Prepare budget for Group companies.
  • Complete monthly cashflow packs for Group.
  • Prepare/load creditor payments at month-end/when required.
  • Prepare cash flow analysis and projections.
  • Assist with audit year-end requirements.
  • Prepare company commentary.
