Port Elizabeth - Eastern Cape - South AfricaIn the role of External Account Manager in Port Elizabeth, your focus will be on cultivating and expanding existing customer relationships through effective communication and rapport building. Your expertise in understanding customer needs and providing tailored solutions will contribute to the organization's growth by achieving sales targets and forging connections with new clients. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including sales and other departments, you will ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. With a minimum of 5 years in External Sales, ideally within the ICT Distribution sector, and a proven track record of sales success, your experience in managing relationships at various levels of organizations will be key in achieving further growth.Area: Port ElizabethType: Permanent On-siteSalary: Up to R30 000 CTCResponsibilities
- Achieve monthly sales targets by effectively managing the sales process and cultivating both existing and new customer relationships.
- Develop and execute sales plans per account, including product presentations and client entertainment.
- Identify and pursue sales opportunities to promote products and the company's offerings, generating leads and ensuring consistent follow-up.
- Prepare and deliver quotations, converting them into orders through effective communication and negotiation.
- Attend product training, events, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends.
- Handle sales documentation processing and administration, including updating orders and backorders.
- Matriculation, preferably with mathematics, and ideally a tertiary qualification or diploma in Sales, Marketing, or IT.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in an External Sales role, demonstrating proven sales success.
- Previous experience in ICT Distribution sales is advantageous.
- At least 4 years' experience within a large corporate entity with ICT Distribution-related products.
- Proficiency in identifying and capitalizing on sales opportunities across diverse customer levels.
- Familiarity with customer service practices, preparing quotations, and developing effective sales plans.
- Intermediate skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong sales acumen and persuasive presentation abilities.
- Organized, deadline-oriented, and skilled in basic calculations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and negotiation expertise.
