- Manage all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Develop and maintain financial controls and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Monitor cash flow, budget variances, and financial performance metrics, providing regular updates and insights to management.
- Prepare and analyze financial forecasts, budget projections, and financial models to support strategic decision-making.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial planning activities, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and standards, ensuring compliance and implementing necessary updates.
- Provide financial guidance and support to other departments, helping to drive business growth and profitability.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required by management
- Providing support where applicable to the Finance Director and Financial Manager
- General ad hoc duties as the company sees fit
- 5 years experience in a similar role
- Degree in Finance or Accounting non-negotiable
- Xero accounting software experience non-negotiable
- CA (SA), SAIPA, or CIMA qualification preferred
- Hospitality related experience preferred, namely short-term letting as a managing agent
- Must love a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- A highly-organised individual who is responsible to manage tasks on their own
- Hard-worker, efficient, deadline focused, high attention to detail and strong ability to self-review work
- Incredibly neat and have extensive experience with reporting to Executives
- Must be good with people and work well in a team
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 suite (Outlook, Teams, Office)
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills(pivot tables, vlookups, complex if formulas)
