Job Summary Duties will include but are not limited to: • Examine detailed drawings or specifications to establish the job, material, and equipment requirements • Program and set-up tooling in the CNC Turning and milling machine when manufacturing different components • Perform routine and preventative maintenance practices on existing equipment • Slotting or drilling metal stock or components and turning + milling • Ensure that the quality of work meets the required standards • Fit and assemble metal parts and tools or sub- assemblies • Set up and / or operate hand and machine tools • Keep workplace clean. • Check accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools, or sub-assemblies • Abide by the regulations as set out in the Occupational Health and Safety Act Qualifying Criteria: • Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent • Relevant Red Seal Trade Test certificate for fitting and turning would be advantageous • Minimum of 5-8 years relevant working experience with turning & CNC Machining • CNC Turning and Milling operating experience is essential • Extensive knowledge of milling & lathe operations • Strength to handle materials and tools (physically fit) • Hands on practical approach to the job • Knowledge of Health and Safety Rules • Ability to work under challenging conditions • Sound communication skills (understand, read, and write English) • Must be prepared to work overtime when required
