- Report to the MD.
- Daily feedback meetings with workshop foremen, team leaders and other departments.
- Daily allocation of workshop resources.
- Manage staff discipline, attendance and timekeeping.
- Pre-approved overtime hours.
- Ensure good housekeeping practices in the workshop.
- Meet monthly revenue and GP targets.
- Problem solving issues with repair jobs.
- Maintain OEM and supplier relationship to ensure efficient and cost-effective service is received.
- Ensure adherence to OEM repair standards.
- Repairs and maintenance to the premises.
- Ensure company assets are maintained at high standards.
- Manage breakdowns of company vehicles and equipment to ensure speedy return to service.
- Ensure the Clients locations are secure and always adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Facilitate efficient and cost-effective repairs of customer breakdowns.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures by all staff.
- Clear communication with workshop foremen, buyers, estimators and sales executives.
- Promote a safe and health work environment for all staff.
- Diesel mechanic or similar trade qualification.
- Hardworking and professional.
- Ability to work without supervision.
- Communicate well on all levels.
- Attention to detail.
- Must have previous experience in similar role.
- Sober habits.
- Presentable.
- Interact with clients, OEMs and suppliers in a professional manner.
- Clear criminal record.
- Grade 12 or N3.
- Code 14 drivers license
- Valid PrDP license.
- Own transport required.
- MS Office.
