Junior Trader

• To enhance departmental efficiency and mitigate betting risks.
• Monitor and respond to general support queries from the betting Operators.
• Escalate complex queries to the Senior Trader.
• Set up general sports events instructed by the Senior Trader.
• Monitor and enter results of sports games into Worx.
• Understand sports risk policies to alert the Senior Trader should there be too much exposure on a market.
• Take instructions (e.g., move price& quote or close market)from the Senior Trader to reduce potential high exposure on a particular market.
• Occasionally make independent decisions to counter suspicious betting behavior (e.g., temporary close of market) and then take advice from Senior Traders on the way forward.
• Monitor over-exposed markets and follow instructions from Senior Trader on how to adjust and re-open them.
• Monitor and compare feed markets and prices with international markets and prices to ensure the feed updates on time and illegitimate betting behaviour is countered.
• Monitor Bet Radar System to ensure no technical problems occur (e.g., feed not updating and stoppages)

• 2 years of trading experience (plus)
• B. Degree in Sports/Business/Finance or equivalent (plus)
• Conceptualization, analysis, implementation.
• Management of customer and stakeholder relationships.
• Business acumen, analytical thinking, risk management.
• Communication, emotional resilience.
• Planning and organization.
• Sports understanding.
• Judgment and compliance with instructions.

• R280 200 per annum.
