• Sales and marketing activities
• Maintaining current and developing customer relationships in both existing and new markets
• Preparing quotations & proposals, and making offers to customers; including specifying products, sourcing specialist products, liaising with other departments and suppliers to determine lead times
• Advanced selection of products using selection tools where available
• Assisting in the development of major tenders or bids
• Ensuring customer requirements are translated into orders & specifications that other departments can fulfil.
• Liaising on projects, resolving issues and pro-actively communicating progress
• Pro-actively communicating enquiry / order status to customers
• Promoting the brand as a quality supplier of its products in the industry.
• Regularly reporting (nominally weekly) to provide feedback on customers, projects marketplace and competition
• Ensuring customer records and information, sales, quotations, service and warranty requests, RMAs etc are properly initiated, authorised, processed and maintained in the system
• Complying with the Brand Management system requirements and responsibilities; processes, policies, etc; including the requirements for OHS.
• Attendance at conferences and trade exhibitions
• Diligent pursuit of the company goals as are within the scope of the role by prosecution of management strategy, plans and tactics
• Actively participating in the annual sales & order intake budget process

• Matric
• Mechanical qualification

• 5 years'' experience on power transmissions
• Strong technical knowledge on power transmissions
• MS Office proficient
• Attention to detail
• Own vehicle
• Valid driver''s license
