- Clinical data collection and clinical report writing.
- Collaborate with the operations teams to determine the clinical needs in the region and development interventions to formulate plans to address these educational and clinical needs.
- Implement clinical pathways and bundles of care.
- Collaborate in the provision of continuous training and encourage continuous quality improvement in the unit environment.
- Assumes a broad level of accountability for the outcomes of care for an assignment of patients in a specific geographical area.
- Assist with the collection and analysing of data related to individual patient outcomes.
- Devises care plans with the unit leaders and monitor progress thereof to improve the patients experience and clinical outcome and guiding these plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, physicians and the multidisciplinary team, toward reachable goals in a timely manner.
- Assist in the development, review, revision and roll out of clinical policies and procedures and/or education materials.
- Participate with the clinical department and unit managers in the identification and development of unit specific education and outcome goals.
- Benchmark unit outcomes, identify and share best practices.
- Provide training and monitor the implementation of clinical policies and procedures in the unit.
- Ensure quality management programs are in place and functional in the units.
- Participate in the QI meetings to ensure areas for improvement are addressed and appropriate action plan is formulated per policy and procedure.
- Work with the operations teams to ensure implementation and resolution of deficiencies.

- Manage allocated special projects regionally i.e. vascular access, Cath-away, nephron, and the patient app.

- Registration with HPCSA as a Medical Practitioner or registration with the South African Nursing Council as a registered nurse/midwife is essential.
- MBChB degree in Medicine or a Masters degree in Nursing or Masters Degree in Clinical Technologist: Nephrology or a BMed in Clinical Practice is essential.
- Relevant qualification within a specialist area in nephrology preferred.
- Relevant experience in the nephrology will be preferred.
- Project management and improvement methodology experience.
- Extensive travel nationally.
