- Overseeing the portfolios/functions delegated by the Dean.
- Management of the Faculty as a member of the Faculty Executive Committee
- Innovative strategic planning and leadership
- Ensure that the faculty strategic goals are realized in line with the institutional strategic goals.
- Work with the Dean in attracting third-stream funding to support the faculty activities and realizing the University vision.
- Work closely with the Dean to develop, manage, implement and maintain academic and administrative operations in the Faculty of Informatics & Design, in order to promote academic excellence and prominence in all the disciplines of the faculty.
- A doctoral degree in a discipline relevant to the offerings of the Faculty of Informatics & Design
- At least seven (7) years' Higher Education experience in a position of an Academic HOD
- Successful supervision of post-graduates to completion
- Proven research track record
- Share responsibility for the management of;
Faculty human capital planning
Budget and financial management
Student academic administration
Faculty resource management and facility management (Space management)
Faculty research management and engagement
Faculty Learning and Teaching
Faculty strategic internal/external collaborations and partnerships
- Contribute to the execution of the Faculty Strategic Plan
- Manage Quality Assurance processes
- Provide leadership in the Institutional Audit process
- Facilitate, manage and maintain sound internal staff and student relations as well as their development
- Faculty representation in various Institutional committees
- Chair and participate in relevant Faculty committees
- Mentor and coach HODs
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean
