Civil Engineering Specialist - WitbankFull job descriptionPURPOSE OF THE JOBTo support the Projects Manager in managing plant structures in an effective and efficient manner ensuring sustainable operations complying with SHEQ, cost and volume targets through the utilization and provision of capable employees, equipment, and resources for a period of 12 months (Fixed-Term Position)JOB RESPONSIBILITIESSafety, Health, Environment and Quality:Manage SHEQ compliance within the Process through effective use of the Toolbox.Utilise the Information Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status.To hold the responsibility of making ensuring all standard checks for designs for site audit, FVD site, Upgrade sites have passed and are in line with necessary specification and standards.Liaise with procurement department for the selection of vendors. Analyse existing structures (poles, truss towers, guyed towers, etc.) for lateral and vertical loads and determine overall capacity of a given structure.Customers:Proactively seek ways of improving reliability.Develop trusted, reliable & collaborative relationships.
