The ideal candidate will possess expertise in various building services, including HVAC and Energy Analysis, Wet Services (Plumbing and Drainage), Fire services, Smoke Ventilation, and Vertical Transport. Proficiency in local SANS standards and international regulations such as BS, NFPA, IBC, IPC, French codes, or others is essential.RequirementsProven MEPF engineering experience, particularly within the building services sector.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suiteStrong skills in AutocadFamiliarity with RevitExperience with Carrier HAP/Load Estimator would be beneficialCommunicate effectively and clearly.Work collaboratively in a team, even under stressful conditions.Think creatively to solve complex problems.Utilize project-specific document management software such as Dropbox, BIM360, or WeTransfer.Think in three dimensions to understand plans, elevations, sections, etc.ResponsibilitiesReviewing new architectural and as-built hard copy drawings.Conducting building inspections and preparing due diligence and dilapidation reports.Designing new systems to ensure compliance with local and international building regulations.Participating in internal design and concept meetings.Attending project meetings, both online and in person, with engineers and clients.Understanding project timelines, construction phases, and completion milestones.Coordinating services with architects, engineers, and interior designers.Occasionally visiting sites to mark-up as-built or existing services.Assessing claims and providing cost estimates, cost reports, and payment certificates.Demonstrating familiarity with building and construction terminology.Willingness to travel within Africa or other project locations as required.Efficiently managing time and resources to meet project deadlines.If you meet the above qualifications and are looking to further your career in a dynamic and challenging environment, please submit your CV to sheena@proteaplacements.co.zaJob Type: Full-time
