Line Manager (Factory) - Kya SandFull job descriptionAn exciting position has recently opened up for an Experienced Cosmetics Factory line Manager/supervisor to join the Nativechild team at our factory in Kya Sands, Randburg.Nativechild is a natural hair & bodycare brand, created for all but especially the under served needs of people of color. We are passionate about both Hair & Health. We developed & locally manufacture a natural-based hair care system specifically formulated for the needs of Afro, Kinky, Ethnic type hair. This hair is very fragile & dry by nature compared to other hairtypes and achieving optimal moisture & hairgrowth has always a challenge..until now.We strongly believe that mother nature is far superior than man made alternatives. We use plant based, natural, safe, sustainable ingredients of the finest grade in the production of our products and where possible we make use of food grade oils. Our products do not contain any harsh chemicals, sulphates, paraben or petroleum and are animal cruelty-FREE.The ideal candidate is one that would be suitably qualified & looking for growth within the brand.DUTIES· Developing and implementing innovative strategies to streamline factory operations.· Analyzing production data to identify and resolve any production issues.· Preparing production reports and submitting them to key decision-makers.· Regularly inspecting finished products to determine whether they meet established quality standards.· Review and audit production processes to identify strategies for improvement· Assist the Factory Manager in managing the Factory effectively· Research and Development (R&D) of new products· Ensure that production goals and targets are met· Effectively manage and motivate staff· Ensure all relevant compliance· Oversee and manager QCREQUIREMENTS· Grade 12 or NQF level 4 is essential· Diploma or higher qualification in Chemical Engineering, Production is essential· Must have at least 10 years experience working in a similar role in the Cosmetics Manufaturing industry· Compounding experience is essential· Must have formulation experience· Production planning experience is essential· Must have ISO knowledge and experience· Must have QC knowledge and experience· Must have procurement experience· GMP knowledge would come as an advantage· Must have receiving and dispatching experience· Must have strong employee management skillsKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS· Should be able to manage a team and be firm· Candidate must be reliable, honest and trustworthy. High levels of intergrity is essential· Should posess excellent communication skills.
