Pre-Assembly Fitter

• Assisting with pre-assembly of underground mining equipment and components within the required quality standards
• Assist with carefully stripping, cleaning, inspecting and reassembling in accordance with the OEM’s specifications and company quality standards, to ensure that the machines are in good working conditions at all times.
• Cleaning tanks:

• Diesel
• Hydraulic
• Flushing
• Battery Box
• Preparation of:

• Axles – Filling oils
• Transmissions – Adapters, faces, mountings
• Torque Converters – Bolts, nuts, pumps
• Engines – Filling oils, faces, mountings
• Linkages – Gear selector, dump & hoist, footbrake,
• Frames – Tap holes
• Drivelines – Fit bearings and grease
• Articulation – Prepare bolts, nuts, covers
• Booms –
• Buckets –
• Top covers – Handles, lynch pins, fire extinguishers
• Fill oils:

• Diesel tank
• Hydraulic tank
• Transmission
• Flushing tank
• Assist with valve fitments and bulkhead plate fitments

• Qualified Fitter (Diesel Mechanic)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in machine assembly
• Computer literate and conversant with MS Office
