Construction Manager - PaarlFull job descriptionAn exciting opportunity exists for an energetic and driven Construction Manager to join JJ Dempers Master Builders – a dynamic and well-established construction company established in 1948. The successful candidate will get the opportunity to work primarily in the vibrant Winelands area of the Western Cape and to collaborate with a talented team of professionals dedicated to excellence in the construction industry. Responsibilities:Take overall responsibility for a number of construction projects (e.g. planning, estimations, scheduling, implementation and administration)Act as liaison between clients, contractors, architects, and other service providersRegular communication with and reporting to Operations Manager regarding project progressMonitor and ensure compliance with building rules and regulations on construction sitesOversee artisans and labour forceResource management and budget controlProvide feedback to clients on a regular basis and ensure client needs are metConduct site inspections and handoversEnsure accurate and efficient record-keeping, reporting and administrationRequirements:Applicable degree or diploma in a building discipline (e.g. civil engineering, structural engineering, architecture, building management, construction, building surveying, quantity surveying, or other relevant field)A Project Management qualification will be advantageousProven experience in a supervisory / management roleAt least 5 years’ experience in project management (including financial management, staff management and resource management)In-depth knowledge of relevant health, safety and environmental regulationsExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsAbove average numerical skillsAdvanced computer literacy
