The organisation is a JSE listed company with a global footprint. They have a number of stable entities which are performing well within the mining, agriculture and chemical manufacturing markets. The company has been operating for over 100 years.The purpose of the role is for the successful professional to interpret and apply International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) principles across the group of companies, develop accounting policies and manuals to facilitate adherence to IFRS, assist in drafting group financial statements in line with IFRS, the Companies Act, JSE regulations, and best practices, review subsidiary financial statements, and provide guidance on disclosures adhering to IFRS requirements and the Companies Act, and create relevant reporting frameworks and templates for use in the business, including financial statement templates, with a particular focus on international operations and improved disclosures.Education:
- Qualified CA(SA)
- 3 years commercial experience within the Mining, Manufacturing, Engineering, Oil and Gas and/or Construction sectors
- Must have strong automated consolidations experience in Cognos or HFM
- Technically sound with IFRS
- Advanced Excel knowledge and experience
