Site Supervisor - Oyster Bay, South AfricaFull job descriptionIf you are a motivated individual with electrical or mechanical background looking for a new opportunity within the renewable industry, then consider this exciting new opportunity .Vestas Southern Africa currently operates and maintain 12 operating wind farms in South Africa, combined installed capacity over 900MW and currently recruiting a Site Supervisor(On-site based).The position will be based in Oyster Bay Wind Farm (Oyster Bay Wind Farm is located in Oyster Bay, 15kM South of Humansdorp town, Kouga Local Municipality.) within the EC region. The Wind farm consists of 41 X V117 3.6MW turbines, installed capacity of 140MW.rite here... Responsibilities Delivery of services on an operational level with respect to process adherence, service quality, safety standards and performance ensuredAssigned staff is supervised/led/coordinated and a positive and effective working relationship is established / maintainedCommunication skills development, competencies and training actions are managed including safety related (Safety walks / talks)Compliance with Vestas standards across the dedicated site and processes, procedures and tools implemented continuouslyEnsures obeying regional laws and regulationsResource availability given to perform dedicated work ordersDaily management of dedicated staff and resolve issues with external service provider, customers and internal stakeholdersImplement defined function specific processes, procedures and toolsMonitor technician's performance and task execution to ensure effective cost controlApprove work performed and technician timesheetsProcesses technician requests for planned absenceManage service crew composition (medium / long term)Monitor and track site performance and continuously improvePerform inductions for contractorsApprove working hours of the technicians and sub-contractors weekly timesheetsED Monthly reporting/people dataProvide 1st level technical support to the techniciansComplete reports and paperwork as required by Management Qualifications Post-Matric Engineering qualification (National higher Diploma, National Diploma, Trade Test, BTech or equivalent as a minimum),Minimum 3 years related work experience within wind industry. Competencies Ability to work efficiently,Advanced communication skills in both oral and written English; additional local language skills are a valuable addition,Ability to work efficiently with Microsoft Office software and SAP ERP.Willingness to travelHigh wind turbine technical knowledge,Driver's license.
