Westfalia Marketing Africa situated in Tzaneen in Limpopo, has a permanent vacancy for a suitably qualified and experienced Technical Advisor.Reporting to the Technical Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for technical / horticultural support to growers supplying subtropical fruit such as avocados, mangoes, and litchis through Westfalia Marketing.Qualifications / Experience:

BSc / MSc Agriculture, preferably in Horticulture or Soil Science.
Previous experience in / exposure to containerized shipping of fruit would be advantageous.

Knowledge:

In-depth understanding of pre- and post-harvest agricultural principles and practices for fresh produce.
Solid understanding of the principles of nutrition of tree crops.
A basic knowledge of the principles of food safety management.
Fully proficient in Microsoft Excel (strong in data management, pivot tables). GIS experience would be useful.

Good communication skills. Ability to enhance our professional image.

Relationship management (growers and overseas clients).

Presentations, scientific communications.
