My client (Silverton, PTA) is seeking a Junior Mechanical Draughtsman proficient in SolidWorks to join our dynamic team specialising in industrial automation and bespoke machinery. If you have a passion for turning conceptual designs into tangible engineering marvels, this role is tailor-made for you. As their Mechanical Draughtsman, you'll play a pivotal role in crafting detailed engineering drawings, collaborating closely with design engineers and machine shop experts to bring cutting-edge machinery and equipment to life.Requirements:

Draughting Diploma /Certificate in SolidWorks.
Sheetmetal/ Laser cutting experience.
2 years’ Mechanical design/draughting engineering experience (2 Years +).
2 years’ 3D CAD experience on Solidworks.
Automation industry advantageous.

Responsibilities:

Create accurate, readable technical drawings as per designs.
Compile drawing project plan, naming conventions and number generation.
Generate 3D parts, sub-assemblies and assemblies.
Generate detail drawings (project planning; parts; sub-assemblies; assemblies; revisions and redesigns).
Has proficient knowledge of working with sheet metal and weldment.
Ensure conversions of different file formats to complete drawings
Implement revisions and redesigns on all relevant drawings.
Create, import, and ensure that correct templates are used at all times (Internal/External)
Ensure that a fast and accurate bill of materials is generated.
Ensure accurate dimensioning and detailing of drawings.
Attend site visits as and when required for:

Site establishment for 3D modelling.
To verify discrepancies on existing drawings.
Red lining issue for construction.
Assist internal departments as and when required (marketing; production; manufacturing; R&D).
