Feedlot Manager - OudtshoornFull job descriptionOur client is seeking a Feedlot Manager to join their team, based in Oudtshoorn.Minimum Requirements:-Agricultural Degree advantageous5+ years industry-related experienceGood understanding of ration formulation, managing forage and bovine nutritionPasture and food management experienceComputer Literacy (Microsoft - Word, Excel, Power Point)Valid driver's licenseGood managerial skillsAbility to communicate in both English and AfrikaansDuties:-Oversee daily operations of the feed yardsEnsure profitable operations of the feedlot to optimize feeding parametersDevelop a feeding program for the herd, considering any special considerationsUnderstand the nutritional requirements for the livestock of relevance, considering what promotes healthy growthWork with veterinarians to ensure animal health is maintained, and any sickness is caught immediatelyEnsure that the feedlot is clean and well maintainedReport on weekly feedlot performanceManage a feed budgetManage all other feedlot staff effectivelyManage feedlot and appropriate safety standards and relations with employees, suppliers and customersInterested in applying for this position?
