Job Summary ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: · Experience working with PostgreSQL in both on- premises and in the cloud environments to build a data base access monitoring solution for PostgreSQL data bases · In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, including installation, configuration, and performance tuning. · Strong understanding of PostgreSQL architecture, query optimization, and database administration and built in functions. · Database security knowledge. · Knowledge about cloud technologies. · Familiarity with security auditing frameworks and best practices. · Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. · Basic experience with Linux - installation and operations processes. o Linux Shell Scripting o VI skills · Experience with administrating Java Web-Applications. · Scripting and use of XMLAPI functions. · Experience in developing new solutions and doing concept work. · Experience in developing process flows. · Knowledge of information system concepts and technologies. · Ability to interface with the business to meet requirements and targets. · Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter · Work experience with · incident management, · change management and · problem management ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: · ITIL certification is advantageous. · Basic experience with SPLUNK is helpful. · Work experience with database auditing, logging and monitoring. · Written and oral communication and presentation skills. · Knowledge of data modelling and data visualisation tools. · Cloud Experience: Familiarity with cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Understanding of cloud-based database services, such as Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL or Azure Database for PostgreSQL, and the ability to leverage cloud-specific features for managing database access. Soft skills · Ability to work as part of a team, inter-dependant as well as independently and submit deliverables on time and in excellent quality. · Strong interpersonal and communication skills. · Flexibility to take up different tasks in the project. · Ability and willingness to coach and give training to fellow colleagues and users when required.
