Line Manager - Cape TownFull job descriptionJOB SUMMARYOur client is a leading and respected player in vessel construction and they are looking to hire a Line Manager. Reporting to the Factory Manager you will fulfil all the necessary requirements with regards to the operational activities and requirements in the Assembly Line and Moulding Shop. The Line Manager will be responsible for the Assembly Line’s production, process and people related activities by applying sound Production Management principles on an ongoing basis and by supporting the Factory Manager with related planning and control activities.THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum: National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Production Management, Engineering or related fieldIdeal: BTech/B-degree (NQF Level 7) in Production Management/Engineering or related field.EXPERIENCE:At least 3 years leadership or supervisory experience within a Moulding, Factory or Production role.Boat building experience is advantageous.Able to show full commitment to achieve deadlines in a demanding environment.COMPETENCIES:Good leadership, planning, organising, communication and control skills.Able to motivate staff to meet desired outcomes.Troubleshooting abilities.Decision making, problem solving and deadline driven.Must possess good organisational and communication skills.A self-starter who takes a proactive approach and has good decision-making skills.A self-motivated individual who excels in a challenging environment.Work under pressure.Strong MS Office capabilities.JOB DESCRIPTION:Operational Excellence.Quality Assurance.Continuous Improvement.Reporting.Financial Management.Please be advised that only shortlisted candidates that have the specific skills and experiences required to fulfil the responsibilities of the role will be contacted for an interview by one of our consultants.
