Tertiary qualification in Risk Management, Finance, or Accountancy (or related field).
Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in a similar role.
Knowledge of accepted accounting practices and principles.
Exposure to derivative markets, risk management environments, and the grains industry.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Review trade position accuracy.
Review open contracts.
Compile daily PNL report.
Daily valuation of new deals.
Daily FX valuation.
Realized PNL valuation.
Ensure accurate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses.
Prepare supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule.
Prepare monthly account reconciliations per commodity.
Perform monthly intercompany reconciliations and recording of transactions.
Execute general ledger system operations and month-end close responsibilities.
Prepare commercial reports.
Assist with internal and external audits.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
Review and approve payments.
Validate and maintain data integrity.
Handle ad-hoc duties as needed.

Essential skills:

Intermediate to advanced MS Excel proficiency.
Understanding of derivative markets and/or risk management.
Excellent numerical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and high accuracy.
Experience in a fast-paced environment.
