Hire Resolve's client, a leading Construction Company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team in Johannesburg. As a Senior Accountant, you will oversee all the financial activities of the business. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, managing budgeting and forecasting processes, and implementing effective internal controls. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in accounting, preferably within the construction industry, and possess excellent leadership and communication skillsResponsibilities:

Prepare and analyze financial statements
Manage general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data
Coordinate and assist in month-end and year-end close procedures
Prepare and review budget and forecasting reports
Monitor and analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations
Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes
Supervise and lead a team of accounting professionals

Requirements

ACCA/CIMA/BICA Qualified or Degree in Accounting & Finance
Part ACCA/CIMA qualified
BICA Registered
5–10 years of experience, preferably in the construction field
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
