We are seeking for an energetic, bright, and motivated individual with a history of high performance to provide support for our Virtual Customer Service and Brick and Mortar local operations in Cape Town.The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, as well as demonstrate ability to respond effectively to changing workloads and priorities. The candidate should be used to work independently. Must have the ability to communicate well and to manage multiple assignments and people simultaneously. The ideal candidate will have the demonstrated ability to respond effectively and efficiently while maintaining flexibility.This position requires high levels of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information, and professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside the company. In addition, exceptional written and oral communication skills, high attention to detail, bias for action, detailed planning and organizational skills are required.Key responsibilities include:Maintenance and improvement of processes related to vendors setup, purchase requisitions, invoice processing and payments tracking for the site.Manage device tracking and improve asset control specifically for the CPT and VCS operation, working closely with Global IT.Manage the CS Purchasing and Accounts Payable functions and processes, including AWS and other BUs when required.Supervise GREF functions and processes for the CS operation, including spending tracking and month end information required by Finance.Maintain monthly staff transportation and telco reconciliations and support related month end activities.Monitor compliance reporting for entities within CS, to regulatory bodies or SETAs (like Work Place Skills Training annual reports etc)Supporting the corporate card team with any related administrative functions.Support payments team with bank statement queries and foreign payment documentation.Represent CS and partner effectively with external and internal stakeholders including third party vendors.Partner with CS Finance on compliance policy maintenance and continuous process improvement initiatives.Social ethics committee involvementAmazon Development Centre leadership team Fiduciary responsibilitiesBudget approvalsSkills Development / Grant submissionsWe are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Cape Town, ZAF4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experienceMBA, or CPAExperience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)- Strong analytical skills and proactive person with attention to detail- Desirable working experience with Oracle (AP and Accounting Modules)- Microsoft Office Skills (Pivot Tables, Excel)Amazon is an equal opportunities employer, and we value your passion to discover, invent, simplify and build.
