- Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture or related Agricultural field
- Minimum of 10 years in Horticulture / Agriculture industry experience
- Direct Experience in Strawberry hydroponic growing (5+ years).
- Direct Experience in growing in greenhouses
- Previous experience with vegetable farming (tomato, lettuce & cucumber) advantageous
- Experience in growing other berry products is a plus (Blueberry, Raspberry, Blackberry)
- Proficiency in the English language (Arabic language is a plus)
- Computer literate
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills
- Must have good numerical and planning skills
- Must be self-disciplined, a team player, honest and of high integrity
- Must be able to work under minimum supervision while meeting the set targets and deadlines
- Valid drivers license
- Valid passport
- Directly manage all activities related to plant transplanting, plant growth, nutritional formulation optimization, nutritional deficiencies detection, disease detection, insect infestation detection, climate management, plants trimming, plants cleaning, plants and greenhouses inspection, plants pollination, plants harvesting, etc.
- Manage all Integrated Pest Management activities.
- Manage and lead the farm teams to ensure daily tasks and production targets are met.
- Manage the efficiency and effectiveness of all relevant functions and activities to ensure that the farm’s operations (Nursery, Propagation, and Harvest) are operating effectively to produce the high premium crop and are in adherence with established policies & procedures.
- Ensure the farm is meeting the production goals, objectives, guidelines, plans, and budgets set.
- Establish formal and informal communication lines across the different departments and personnel at the farm for prompt identification and resolution of issues and obstacles that impede the operational efficiency.
- Ensure production is running at optimal capacity.
- Mitigate risks associated with the operation and anticipate any issues or incidents to ensure production lines are running optimally.
