- Manage and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules, programs, and procedures to ensure effective and efficient preventive maintenance and equipment reliability.
- Plan and coordinate regular inspections and maintenance activities to identify potential issues and address them promptly to prevent breakdowns or accidents.
- Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute maintenance projects, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Oversee the coordination of contractors and external maintenance service providers to ensure compliance with quality standards and timelines.
- Monitor inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and equipment, and initiate procurement processes to ensure availability when needed.
- Develop and manage a maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for the maintenance team and other employees.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in maintenance management, and explore opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Prepare accurate reports and documentation related to maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and maintenance logs.
- A degree or diploma in Engineering, Facility Management, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate a team.
- In-depth understanding of preventive maintenance principles and practices.
- Familiarity with maintenance software systems and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
